The exploration of public versus private space is ongoing, and with that comes a developed understanding of exteriority and interiority. It leads into an exploration of what is known versus what remains unseen, and ultimately, where ownership lies. In this charcoal series, an exterior space and an interior one are sharply rendered, separated sequentially by a blurred depiction of the mechanics of machinery, to symbolize the nuances that allow interior and exterior spaces to be understood on both public and private levels.
